National Textiles Ministers’ Conference to be held in Guwahati on 8th and 9th January, 2026

• First-of-its-kind National Textiles Ministers' Conference convened by the Union Ministry of Textiles with the Government of Assam at Guwahati on 8–9 January 2026 under the theme "India's Textiles: Weaving Growth, Heritage & Innovation".
• Brings Union and State Textile Ministers onto a single platform to evolve a coordinated strategy for making India a global textiles manufacturing hub, aligned with the USD 350 bn industry / USD 100 bn exports by 2030 vision.
• Relevant to UPSC for cooperative federalism, MSME-cluster economics, PM MITRA, PLI-Textiles, North-East development, and handloom/handicraft heritage.
