Year Ender 2025 - Ministry of Cooperation: “Sahkar se Samriddhi”

• Ministry of Cooperation is a stand-alone Union Ministry carved out on 6 July 2021 to give a "separate administrative, legal and policy framework" to India's 8+ lakh cooperative societies.
• Its mission slogan — "Sahkar se Samriddhi" (Prosperity through Cooperation) — was articulated by PM Modi; the first and current Cabinet Minister is Shri Amit Shah.
• Year Ender 2025 claims 114 major initiatives across PACS strengthening, new sectoral cooperatives, computerization, and a dedicated cooperative university.
• Highly examinable: 2025 is the UN-declared International Year of Cooperatives (IYC 2025); first National Cooperation Policy 2025 was launched.
