CSIR-NPL Strengthens National Quality Infrastructure with Inauguration of Two Apex Calibration Facilities
- CSIR-NPL (National Physical Laboratory), India's National Metrology Institute (NMI) and custodian of national measurement standards, marked its 80th Foundation Day by launching two apex calibration laboratories that anchor India's National Quality Infrastructure (NQI).
- The facilities are the world's second National Environmental Standard Laboratory and the world's fifth National Primary Standard Facility for Solar Cell Calibration — directly supporting clean-air regulation and the solar PV mission.
