National Textiles Ministers’ Conference concludes in Guwahati today with key policy deliberations and setting the future roadmap
- National Textiles Ministers' Conference, held 8–9 January 2026 in Guwahati, Assam, organised by Ministry of Textiles in collaboration with Govt of Assam under theme "India's Textiles: Weaving Growth, Heritage & Innovation".
- First-of-its-kind national-level convening of State/UT Textile Ministers to coordinate a unified roadmap for making India a global textile hub under the 5F vision (Farm–Fibre–Factory–Fashion–Foreign).
- Launchpad for the District-Led Textiles Transformation (DLTT) plan and signing of Tex-RAMPS MoUs with 15 States — both examinable for Prelims & GS-III.
- Embodies cooperative federalism in a sector employing ~45 million; relevant to MSMEs, exports, handloom heritage and NE region development.
