Shri Surjit Bhujabal inaugurates ICEGATE–LPMS integration at ICP Agartala, advancing digital transformation in cross-border trade

• CBIC integrated the Indian Customs Electronic Gateway (ICEGATE) with the Land Port Management System (LPMS) at the Integrated Check Post (ICP), Agartala, Tripura on 12 January 2026.
• Brings land ports onto the same digital customs backbone already used at seaports, airports and Inland Container Depots (ICDs) — extending Ease of Doing Business to India's land borders.
• Relevant for UPSC across trade facilitation, border management, GS-II (governance/India-neighbourhood) and GS-III (economy/infrastructure).
