• NIRANTAR = National Institute for Research & Application of Natural Resources to Transform, Adapt and Build Resilience — a coordination platform (not a new institute) under MoEFCC.
• Designed to integrate scientific expertise of MoEFCC's autonomous/subordinate bodies without creating new institutions or adding manpower.
