India and Germany deepen Cooperation in Postal, Express and Logistics Services

• Bilateral framework signed on 12 January 2026 at Ahmedabad between India's Department of Posts and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy + Deutsche Post AG, to deepen postal, express and logistics linkages.
• Targets cross-border e-commerce, time-definite international deliveries, and last-mile integration between India Post and Deutsche Post–DHL Group.
• UPSC relevance: live example of GS-II (bilateral relations) + GS-III (logistics, MSME exports, infrastructure); ties into India-Germany Strategic Partnership (25 years in 2025) and PM GatiShakti / National Logistics Policy ecosystem.
