Ponduru Khadi receives GI Tag; KVIC to felicitate Artisans and expand Global Outreach

• Ponduru Khadi, a fine hand-spun, hand-woven cotton fabric from Ponduru village, Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, granted Geographical Indication (GI) tag with registration in favour of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
• Significant for UPSC as a convergence point of IPR (GI Act, 1999), traditional crafts, MSME policy, and the Khadi-Swadeshi legacy of the freedom movement.
