Indian Railways Deploys Humanoid Robot ‘ASC ARJUN’ at Visakhapatnam Railway Station

• ASC ARJUN is a humanoid robot deployed by Indian Railways at Visakhapatnam Railway Station to assist the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in station security and passenger services.
• It is the first-of-its-kind deployment on the Indian Railways network, indigenously designed and developed in Visakhapatnam.
• Relevant for UPSC as a convergence point of internal security (RPF), emerging tech (AI, Face Recognition, IoT), Atmanirbhar Bharat in indigenous tech, and public service delivery reforms.
