Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Lays Foundation Stone of ₹80 Crore Agarwood Value Chain Development Scheme

• ₹80 crore Agarwood Value Chain Development Scheme launched in North Fulkabari, Tripura on 24 Jan 2026 by Union DoNER & Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
• Establishes two Central Processing Centres (CPCs) — one each in Golaghat (Assam) and Tripura — to integrate cultivation→processing→branding→export under a "Local to Global" value chain.
• Critical for UPSC because it links NTFP economics, Northeast development, CITES regulation (Aquilaria malaccensis), and GI-led export promotion — straddling GS-II (governance) and GS-III (economy, environment).
