• On the eve of 77th Republic Day 2026, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) felicitated elected Panchayat representatives invited as Special Guests for the R-Day Parade at Kartavya Path, and concurrently launched the PESA State Rankings 2024-25 and the AI chatbot PANCHAM.
• Functions as a flagship recognition of grassroots saturation of Central schemes and a marker of progress under Localisation of SDGs (LSDG) and the Viksit Bharat vision.
• UPSC relevance: GS-II (devolution, PESA, 73rd CAA, e-governance) and GS-III (AI in governance, tribal area administration).
