28th CONFERENCE OF SPEAKERS AND PRESIDING OFFICERS OF THE COMMONWEALTH (CSPOC) 2026 WAS A GRAND SUCCESS: LOK SABHA SPEAKER
- CSPOC = a triennial parliamentary forum of Speakers/Presiding Officers from Commonwealth legislatures, founded 1969 on the initiative of Lucien Lamoureux, Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons.
- India hosted the 28th edition at New Delhi, 14–16 January 2026 — its 4th time, after 1970-71, 1986 and 2010 — gap of 16 years.
- Relevant for UPSC GS-II (Parliament, international groupings, Commonwealth) and shows India's "Mother of Democracy" branding via parliamentary diplomacy.
