Assam Petro-Chemicals (APL) Signs MoU with Deendayal Port (DPA) to set up 150 TPD e-Methanol Plant at Kandla Port

• MoU between Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd (APL) and Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) to set up a 150 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) e-Methanol plant at Kandla Port, Gujarat.
• Flagship project under India's Maritime Decarbonisation roadmap, intended to fuel green shipping on the Singapore–Rotterdam trade corridor.
• ₹1,200 crore capex, ~3,500 direct + indirect jobs; converges Make-in-India, green hydrogen ecosystem and major-port-led industrial diversification.
• Examinable as a convergence of GS-III (Energy/Infrastructure/Environment) themes — alt fuels, IMO decarbonisation, PSU revival.
