Connectivity projects under Northeast Economic Corridor
- NEEC is a strategic framework for integrated infrastructure development of the North Eastern Region (NER), with a feasibility study prepared by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) covering transport, urban and power/energy as enablers of equitable growth.
- It envisages a multi-modal transport network at three levels: intra-NER, NER–rest of India (including a route via Bangladesh), and NER–neighbours (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar) to operationalise the South Asia–Southeast Asia connectivity arc.
