Prime Minister welcomes new Ramsar sites at Patna Bird Sanctuary and Chhari-Dhand
- Two new Ramsar sites added to India's list on the eve of World Wetlands Day 2026 (2 February): Patna Bird Sanctuary, Etah (Uttar Pradesh) and Chhari-Dhand, Kutch (Gujarat).
- Takes India's Ramsar tally to 98 sites, up from 26 in 2014 — a >276% expansion.
- Tests aspirant knowledge of the Ramsar Convention (1971), wetland ecology, migratory bird flyways and Centrally-Sponsored wetland conservation architecture.
