UNION BUDGET 2026-27 OUTLINES THE KARTAVYA OF SAB KA SATH, SAB KA VIKAS TOWARDS A VIKSIT BHARAT

• Union Budget 2026-27, presented by FM Nirmala Sitharaman on 1 February 2026, is structured around three Kartavyas (duties): sustainable economic growth, capacity building, and Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas.
• The third Kartavya is the social-equity pillar — covering farmers, Divyangjan, mental-health/trauma victims, the Purvodaya states and the North-East Region — and operationalises the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision.
• For UPSC, it is examinable in Prelims (scheme names, ministries) and in Mains GS-II (welfare) / GS-III (agriculture, regional development).
