RESTRUCTURING OF THE SKILL INDIA PROGRAMME

• Skill India Programme (SIP) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) consolidating three flagships — PMKVY 4.0, PM-NAPS, JSS — into one composite umbrella.
• Union Cabinet on 7 February 2025 approved its continuation and restructuring for the period FY 2022-23 to 2025-26 with an outlay of ₹8,800 crore.
