Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme

• ECMS is a central sector scheme by MeitY to build a domestic ecosystem for passive and sub-assembly electronics components, plugging India's biggest gap in the electronics value chain (post-PLI for mobiles/IT hardware).
• Originally notified at ₹22,919 crore (Apr 2025); outlay raised to ₹40,000 crore in Union Budget 2026–27.
• Mix of turnover-linked, capex-linked and hybrid incentives — first PLI-family scheme to use a hybrid structure for components.
• Relevance: GS-III (industrial policy, Atmanirbhar Bharat, GVC integration, employment).
