Sahara Refund Portal

• CRCS–Sahara Refund Portal is a Ministry of Cooperation online platform to refund legitimate dues of genuine depositors of four Sahara Group Multi-State Cooperative Societies, pursuant to a Supreme Court order.
• Operationalises the SC-mandated transfer from the "Sahara-SEBI Refund Account" to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) for direct, Aadhaar-seeded bank payouts.
• Relevant for UPSC as a live case on cooperative-sector regulation, investor protection, SC supervision, and Ministry of Cooperation's expanded mandate.
