Strengthening PACS and Multipurpose Cooperatives

• PACS = Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, the village-level base tier of India's three-tier short-term cooperative credit structure (PACS → DCCB → StCB), now being repurposed into multipurpose rural service entities by the Union Ministry of Cooperation.
• Combines computerisation on a common ERP, Model Bye-laws (25+ activities), and 2 lakh new PACS/Dairy/Fishery cooperatives targeted in 5 years — central plank of "Sahakar se Samriddhi".
• Examinable across GS-II (governance/cooperative federalism, 97th CAA) and GS-III (agri-credit, rural infra, decentralised storage).
