Awareness programmes on ‘Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat with the objective of making India child-marriage-free reach over 6 crore citizens
- Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat (BVMB) is a national campaign of the Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD) to make India child-marriage-free, launched 27 November 2024.
- Operationalised through a dedicated portal stopchildmarriage.wcd.gov.in for reporting cases, accessing CMPO contacts and registering pledges.
- Twin targets: reduce child-marriage prevalence by 10% by 2026 and child-marriage-free India by 2030.
- Examinable as a flagship women-empowerment scheme intersecting PCMA 2006, NFHS-5 data and Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
