Bharat GenAI Large Language Model to complete text models in all 22 scheduled languages this month: Dr. Jitendra Singh tells Rajya Sabha

• BharatGen is India's first government-funded, indigenously developed, sovereign Multimodal Large Language Model (LLM) for Indian languages, with text, speech and vision components.
• Spearheaded by IIT Bombay under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Department of Science & Technology (DST).
• Operational pillar of the IndiaAI Mission (MeitY); directly relevant for GS-III (Science & Tech, IT) and GS-II (Government policies for vulnerable/linguistic groups).
