Central Government has taken several steps to support infrastructure, strengthen digital case-management systems and monitoring mechanisms in FAST TRACK SPECIAL COURTS

• FTSCs are a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) launched in October 2019 for time-bound trial of pending rape and POCSO Act, 2012 cases, funded from the Nirbhaya Fund.
• Implemented by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, in coordination with State Governments and High Courts.
• Examinable as a flagship women & child safety + judicial-reform scheme — overlaps GS-II (judiciary, vulnerable sections) and Prelims (scheme + parent Act).
