Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 aims to prevent sexual harassment at workplace and ensure safe, secure and inclusive environment for women
- Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 ("SH Act"/"POSH Act") is the statutory framework codifying the Vishaka Guidelines (1997) to guarantee a safe, secure and inclusive workplace for women.
- Covers all women regardless of age or employment status, across organised & unorganised sectors, public & private workplaces, including domestic workers.
- Administered by Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD); Central Government is the "Appropriate Government" for workplaces it establishes/controls.
- Operationalised digitally via the SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment electronic Box) Portal as a single-window grievance & monitoring platform.
