Impact of PLI Scheme in Boosting Processing Capacity for Millet Based Products

• PLISMBP is a dedicated component of the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), with an outlay of ₹800 crore, to incentivise manufacture/sale of millet-based Ready-to-Eat (RTE)/Ready-to-Cook (RTC) products.
• Launched in alignment with the UN International Year of Millets (IYOM) 2023; aspirants must link it to Shree Anna push, nutritional security, and export diversification.
