VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 Empowers Rural Women with Inclusive Support
- Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 is the statutory successor to MGNREGA, 2005, raising the rural wage-employment guarantee from 100 to 125 days per household per financial year.
- Administered by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD); comes into force across rural India from 1 July 2026, on which date MGNREGA, 2005 stands repealed.
- Reframes the demand-driven employment guarantee around four thematic verticals tied to Viksit Bharat @ 2047: water security, core rural infrastructure, livelihood infrastructure, and extreme-weather mitigation works.
