IMPLEMENTATION OF VB G RAM G

• Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 is the new statutory rural wage-employment guarantee that repeals and replaces MGNREGA, 2005.
• Guarantees 125 days of unskilled manual wage employment per rural household per financial year (up from 100 under MGNREGS).
• Implemented by Ministry of Rural Development; commencement notified w.e.f. 01 July 2026 across all rural areas.
• Anchors employment to the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision via a "National Rural Infrastructure Stack" thematic on water, livelihood and climate-resilient works.
