Various steps taken to enhance infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, ensure capacity building of Anganwadi workers and improve outcomes under Mission POSHAN 2.0

• Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 is an Integrated Nutrition Support Programme launched in 2021 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), merging the erstwhile Anganwadi Services, POSHAN Abhiyaan, and Scheme for Adolescent Girls.
• Targets reduction of stunting, wasting, underweight and anaemia in children (0-6), adolescent girls (14-18 in aspirational/NE districts), pregnant women and lactating mothers.
• UPSC relevance: schemes for vulnerable sections, governance (tech-enabled service delivery via Poshan Tracker), SDG-2 (Zero Hunger).
