Capacity Addition Crosses 50,000 MW in FY 2025-26 (Up to 31st January 2026)
- Record annual capacity addition of 52,537 MW in FY 2025-26 (up to 31.01.2026), of which 39,657 MW (~75%) came from Renewable Energy (RE) sources.
- India's total installed power capacity crossed 5,20,511 MW (≈520.5 GW) as on 31 January 2026; non-fossil share at 52.3%, surpassing the NDC target of 50% by 2030 well ahead of schedule.
