India – France Joint Statement

• Joint Statement issued on 17 February 2026 during President Emmanuel Macron's official visit (17–19 Feb 2026) — his 4th visit to India.
• Bilateral ties elevated from "Strategic Partnership" (1998) to "Special Global Strategic Partnership" (SGSP) — only such designation India holds with any country.
• Anchored in the Horizon 2047 Roadmap adopted in 2023, marking the centenary of India's independence and 100 years of India–France diplomatic ties.
• High UPSC relevance: GS-II (Bilateral relations), GS-III (Defence, Nuclear, AI, Critical Minerals).
