Cabinet approves major expansion of Civil Enclave at Srinagar International Airport

• CCEA approval on 24 Feb 2026 for a ₹1,677 crore civil enclave expansion at Srinagar International Airport, Jammu & Kashmir.
• Project to be executed by Airports Authority of India (AAI) within the Budgam Airbase of the Indian Air Force, a classic Indian "civil enclave on a defence airfield" model.
• Relevant for UPSC across GS-II (federal/J&K governance, post-Art.370 development push) and GS-III (infrastructure, tourism, regional connectivity).
