Cabinet approves Minimum Support Prices for Raw Jute for 2026-27 Season

• CCEA on 24 February 2026 approved MSP of Raw Jute (TD-3 grade) at Rs. 5,925/quintal for the 2026-27 marketing season.
• Yields 61.8% return over all-India weighted average cost of production (A2+FL+50%), in line with the Budget 2018-19 principle of MSP ≥ 1.5× cost.
• Tests aspirants on the MSP regime, CACP, JCI as nodal procurement agency, and crop-specific facts (jute is a non-foodgrain MSP crop).
