• Base year revision of India's National Accounts Statistics from 2011-12 to 2022-23, released by Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on 27 February 2026.
• Aligns India's GDP measurement with latest economic structure, post-COVID normal year data, new digital-age data sources (GSTN, MCA21) and SNA 2008 best practices.
• UPSC relevance: links GS-III (Indian Economy — growth, planning, mobilization of resources) with statistical governance and policy benchmarking.
