Sarbananda Sonowal Inaugurates Three Projects to Bolster Inland Waterways on Brahmaputra (NW 2) in Dibrugarh

• Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated three inland waterways projects on National Waterway-2 (Brahmaputra) at Chowkidingee Field, Dibrugarh on 27 February 2026.
• Projects: Customs & Immigration Complex at Bogibeel, Customs & Immigration Complex at Dhubri, and the renovated IWAI Heritage Building at Dibrugarh — framed under the "Vikas aur Virasat" theme.
• Relevant for GS-III (Infrastructure) and GS-II (India-Bangladesh/Bhutan relations, Act East).
