INS SUDARSHINI ARRIVES AT ALEXANDRIA AFTER MILESTONE TRANSIT THROUGH SUEZ CANAL

• INS Sudarshini, the Indian Navy's sail training ship (three-masted barque) based at Kochi under Southern Naval Command, arrived at Alexandria, Egypt on 01 Mar 2026 after a milestone transit of the Suez Canal as part of the transoceanic expedition Lokayan-26.
• Significance for UPSC: tests on defence diplomacy, maritime heritage (SAGAR/MAHASAGAR vision), India–Egypt bilateral, and chokepoints (Suez Canal).
