- India–Japan CEPA is a bilateral free-trade pact signed 16 Feb 2011, in force 1 Aug 2011; the Joint Committee (JC) is its apex review body.
- The 7th JC meeting was held in Tokyo on 2 March 2026, co-chaired by Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Commerce, and the Senior Deputy Minister, MOFA Japan.
- Relevant for UPSC GS-II (bilateral agreements) and GS-III (external sector, FTAs).
