Khelo India Tribal Games between March 25-April 6; ‘Part of expanding opportunity and scope,’ says sports minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya

• Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) is a new vertical added to the umbrella Khelo India Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, dedicated to tribal athletes and indigenous sporting traditions.
• First-ever edition scheduled 25 March – 6 April 2026 in Chhattisgarh (Raipur, Jagdalpur, Sarguja).
• Examinable for UPSC on three axes: Khelo India scheme architecture (GS-II governance), tribal welfare/Schedule V states (GS-I & II), and indigenous sports promotion.
