Prime Minister shares an article on ASMITA initiative promoting women in sports

• ASMITA = Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action; a vertical of the Khelo India Mission of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS) to expand female participation in competitive sports.
• Operationalised via Sports Authority of India (SAI) in partnership with National Sports Federations (NSFs) and MY Bharat, with leagues across zonal and national levels.
• UPSC relevance: intersects GS-I (Women empowerment), GS-II (Government schemes) and GS-III (Sports as a pillar of Viksit Bharat 2047).
