INDIAN CONTINGENT DEPARTS FOR SEYCHELLES FOR JOINT MILITARY “EXERCISE LAMITIYE – 2026”

• LAMITIYE ("Friendship" in Seychellois Creole) is a biennial India–Seychelles joint military exercise held in Seychelles since 2001.
• 2026 (11th edition) is a landmark: the first tri-services edition with the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force participating together.
• Anchors India's SAGAR ("Security and Growth for All in the Region") vision and India's role as a net security provider in the Western Indian Ocean.
