THE COMPONENTS OF INDIA ENERGY STACK
- India Energy Stack (IES) is a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for the power sector — a unified, secure, interoperable digital "blueprint" enabling generation, transmission, distribution and consumption nodes to communicate via standard protocols.
- Conceived by the Ministry of Power, modeled on the success of India's earlier DPI stack (Aadhaar/UPI/DigiLocker) but applied to electricity.
- Relevant for GS-III (Infrastructure, Energy) and GS-II (e-Governance, DPI); tested via the Utility Intelligence Platform (UIP) as the analytics application layer.
