• Outlay of ₹10,000 crore over 5 years, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
• Targets India's shifting disease burden toward non-communicable diseases (diabetes, cancer, autoimmune disorders) where biologics are critical.
• Strategic significance: positions India as a global biopharma manufacturing & innovation hub, complementing PLI-Pharma and the Bio-E3 policy.
