TRAI issues the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Digital Addressable Systems Audit Manual, 2026

• TRAI notified the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Digital Addressable Systems Audit Manual, 2026 on 10 March 2026, to come into force from 1 April 2026.
• It is a guidance document operationalising audit provisions under the Interconnection (Addressable Systems) Regulations, 2017 for Distribution Platform Operators (DPOs) — DTH, MSOs, HITS, IPTV.
• Relevance: Prelims (regulators, statutory bodies), GS-II (regulatory institutions), GS-III (digital infrastructure, consumer protection in pay-TV).
