DRI raids illegal Alprazolam factory in Andhra Pradesh under Operation “White Hammer”; 237 kg drugs worth ₹47 crore and over 3.5 tonnes of chemicals seized; two arrested
- Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), the apex anti-smuggling intelligence agency under CBIC, Ministry of Finance, dismantled a clandestine Alprazolam manufacturing unit at Kondapalli IDA, NTR district, Andhra Pradesh on 11–12 March 2026.
- Seizure: 237 kg Alprazolam (₹47 crore), ~800 kg raw materials, 2,860 L chemicals, plus reactors, driers and a centrifuge — an industrial-scale setup disguised as a chemical unit.
