Accounts & Audit Module Launched on UMEED Central Portal to Strengthen Financial Governance of Waqf Institutions

• Accounts & Audit Module is a new digital sub-module on the UMEED Central Portal (2025) for recording income/expenditure of Waqf institutions and automating statutory contributions to State Waqf Boards.
• Launched by Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, on 13 March 2026.
• Operationalises the financial-governance intent of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 by digitising bookkeeping, audit trails and mutawalli contributions.
• Examinable as a current-affairs anchor for minority welfare administration, e-governance, and Waqf reform.
