Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revised base year of Gross Domestic Product from 2011-12 to 2022-23

• MoSPI rebased India's National Accounts from base year 2011-12 to 2022-23, releasing the New Series on 27 February 2026.
• Rebasing incorporates new data sources, latest classifications (NIC/NPC), and methodological upgrades aligned with SNA 2008 international recommendations.
• Examinable for GS-III (Indian Economy – growth, GDP, national income accounting) and Prelims (statistics/economy current affairs).
