Small Scale Fishers under PMMSY

• PMMSY (Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana) is the flagship Central Sector + Centrally Sponsored umbrella scheme for "Blue Revolution" through sustainable fisheries; implemented FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25 by the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
• A major welfare prong targets small-scale / traditional marine fishers via livelihood + nutritional support during the fishing ban/lean period and through PM-MKSSY for micro & small enterprises.
• Examinable because it links to Blue Economy, sustainable development of coastal commons, climate-resilient livelihoods, and federal scheme architecture.
