Digital India program has enabled wider access to digital services and opportunities

• Digital India is an umbrella programme launched by the Government of India in July 2015 to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy, coordinated by MeitY.
• Strategy rests on a four-pronged approach: (i) access to internet, (ii) affordability, (iii) Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), (iv) digital literacy.
