Cabinet approves a New Era of Plug-and-Play Industrial Development through Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA)

• Central Sector Scheme approved by the Union Cabinet on 18 March 2026 to build 100 plug-and-play industrial parks with an outlay of ₹33,660 crore.
• Implementation window: six years, 2026-27 to 2031-32; nodal department is DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry; PMA is NICDC.
• Builds on the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) and the Budget 2024-25 announcement of 12 investment-ready "plug-and-play" parks.
• Critical for Mains GS-III (manufacturing, infrastructure) and Prelims (scheme-ministry-agency mapping).
