Multi-State Cooperative Societies for organic products

• NCEL and NCOL are two national-level Multi-State Cooperative Societies created by the Ministry of Cooperation as umbrella bodies for cooperative exports and organic-product promotion respectively.
• Both are registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002; membership is open to cooperatives from PACS to apex level.
• Examinable for UPSC as part of the "Sahakar se Samriddhi" push and the new Ministry of Cooperation (July 2021) institutional architecture.
