- Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia articulated four pillars for 6G — interoperability, common standards, innovation, inclusive growth — at an International Workshop on 6G Standardisation organised by Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the technical arm of Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
- India targets contributing ≥10% of global 6G standards and patents under the Bharat 6G Vision (released 23 March 2023) and the Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA).
